Requirements
- Languages: Proficiency in Inuktut, English, or French is required.
- Education: A Bachelor of Nursing degree is required.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in an acute care clinical setting or equivalent.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience working in varied environments such as community health centers, schools, youth centers, or nursing outposts.
- Current CPR certification, with the ability to register with the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN).
- At the time of hire, the candidate must possess certifications such as ACLS, TNCC, NRP, ENPC, PALS, or others, with the rest to be completed within 12 months.
- Additional skills such as EKG interpretation, Critical Incident Stress Management, and cross-cultural training are considered assets.
- A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.
- Familiarity with Inuit communities, culture, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and experience working in northern cross-cultural environments is beneficial.

- Promote, protect, and restore client health, while educating on disease prevention and reduction of disability and mortality.
- Provide comprehensive community health services as part of a healthcare team, focusing on primary health care to help clients manage life’s challenges.
