Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading goods
- Driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods
- Overseeing vehicle condition and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Ensuring cargo safety and security, including tarping
- Performing emergency roadside repairs and preventive vehicle maintenance
- Conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Recording cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Relaying information to central dispatch
