- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and stairs
- Operating industrial vacuums to clear debris
- Emptying trash, washing windows, and cleaning walls and ceilings
- Performing minor repairs on heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems; contacting professionals for major repairs
- Supervising workers, moving heavy furniture and equipment
- Routine maintenance, including painting and drywall repairs
- Tending to gardens, cleaning/disinfecting bathrooms, and working independently
- Removing snow and ice from walkways and parking lots
