Requirements:
- Language: Proficiency in English.
- Education: Completion of a 2-year Community College Registered Practical Nurse diploma.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience, preferably in geriatric or long-term care settings.

Additional Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Regulated Health Professions Act, Nursing Act, and Health Care Consent Act.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols, nursing documentation standards, and medication administration practices.
- Skilled in verbal and non-verbal communication, as well as transfer and positioning techniques.
- Competency with computer applications such as Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and workers’ rights.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, manage, and implement nursing and personal care programs for residents of the municipal long-term care facility.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and engaging care for residents.
- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures safely, while overseeing the activities of Unregulated Health Care Providers (such as Health Care Aides).
- Ensure high-quality resident care by applying the necessary skills, judgment, and attitudes essential for safe nursing practice.
