Requirements:
- Language: Proficiency in English is required.
- Education: Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Experience: Recent nursing experience in a tertiary/urban setting is necessary.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, assist in lifting, transporting, and positioning patients.
- Capable of handling equipment that requires bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Additional Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- A minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing experience or 2 years of medical/surgical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Recent critical care experience within the last 2 years.
- Certifications in ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, NRP (3 of 6 required), Certified Emergency Nurse (CAN or CNE).
- Proficiency in patient assessment, organization, leadership, communication, and care delivery.
- Completion of CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1–4) and NextGenU Health Assessment courses.
